OPPORTUNITIES

Panacea Behavioral Health & Wellness Center provides practicum, internship, residency, and career opportunities (“Programs”) to qualified applicants, conditioned on acceptance of program requirements and compliance with all professional, ethical, and supervisory standards outlined herein. Participation in these Programs constitutes acknowledgment and agreement to all expectations, conditions, and notices described below.

PRACTICUM & INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

We provide structured training experiences in alignment with CACREP standards. Practicum placements generally require a minimum of 100 supervised clock hours and include direct client service, case documentation, and participation in staff activities. Internship opportunities typically involve 600 hours of supervised clinical experience across two semesters, including direct counseling, group facilitation, and professional documentation. Both practicum and internship trainees engage in case conceptualization, treatment planning, and the integration of evidence-based counseling practices.

RESIDENCY OPPORTUNITIES

Graduates pursuing licensure as Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) may apply for our Residency Program. Residents provide outpatient counseling services under clinical supervision, working with individuals, couples, families, and groups across diverse populations. Responsibilities include conducting intakes, assessments, and interventions while maintaining HIPAA-compliant documentation. Residents participate in weekly supervision, staff meetings, and professional development activities as part of the licensure preparation process.

DOCTORAL PRACTICUM & FIELDWORK OPPORTUNITIES

Doctoral-level trainees may complete advanced practicum or fieldwork hours at Panacea. These placements emphasize supervision of master’s-level counselors, advanced clinical interventions, and leadership in program evaluation, advocacy, and counselor development. Doctoral trainees receive supervision from licensed clinicians and may participate in research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and training initiatives within our outpatient mental health setting.

SUPERVISION & SUPPORT

All practicum students, interns, residents, and doctoral trainees are supervised by licensed clinicians with appropriate training and post-licensure experience. Weekly individual or triadic supervision is provided in accordance with program standards. Supervisors may employ technology-assisted or hybrid supervision methods when appropriate. Participants are expected to adhere to ethical codes, program requirements, and site policies at all times.

CAREER PATHWAYS

Completion of practicum, internship, or residency may lead to additional opportunities at Panacea, including full-time clinical employment. Career pathways may include specialization in trauma-focused care, couples therapy, child and adolescent counseling, supervision and training, or integrated care. Advancement opportunities are supported through continuing education, professional development, and leadership training initiatives.
