Dalen Shoemaker Graduate Counseling Intern

Dalen is a practicum counseling student at Liberty University working under the supervision of a licensed clinician. She believes it is a privilege to walk alongside clients during some of the most vulnerable and meaningful moments of their lives. Her belief is that counseling is not about fixing people, but about creating a supportive space for understanding, growth, and hope. 

Her counseling approach is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She views counseling as a place to slow down, identify patterns, explore meaning, and gently challenge beliefs that may no longer serve you. 

Healing looks different for everyone, and growth often begins with small, courageous steps. Her goal is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and empowered to explore your story and reconnect with your strengths.
